What Changed

Out: antiquated boar bristles that required break-in, shed constantly, and took days to dry. In: Angel Hair synthetic that outperforms silvertip badger from day one.

Out: hollow plastic handle that cracked and degraded. In: solid, lathe-turned resin that resists water damage and provides secure grip for decades.

The Proportions

The 20mm knot with 56mm loft (not including 8mm handle inset) delivers perfect balance for face lathering. The smaller diameter means precise control for working lather directly onto your face. Adequate backbone for efficient soap loading, enough flex for comfortable application.

The handle measures 52mm tall with 36mm maximum diameter—slightly taller than modern brushes, which some shavers prefer for extra leverage during face lathering.

The Performance

No break-in period required. Minimal shedding (only loose manufacturing fibers in first few uses). Dries overnight instead of over days. Soft tips that don't scratch. Water retention that builds rich lather. Performance that rivals high-grade badger without animal products or premium pricing.

100% solid resin handle available in multiple colors. Works with any soap or cream. Free shipping over $50. 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Vintage design wisdom combined with modern materials creates the best of both worlds.

GREAT QUALITY

Truly this is one of the best shaving brushes I have ever used. It is the right travel size for me, and it picks up a load of lather and whips it up so well. The knot is soft and luxurious with a slight backbone and gives a rich and pleasing scrub while preparing the beard or head for a shave. It is solidly made and does not lose any strands after over 3 months of use so far. I love using it, and highly recommend it to all wet shaving enthusiasts like me. Keep up the excellent production.

I Took the Time to Write a Review for a Shaving Brush

I've been wet shaving for about three years now. When I first started I didn't know any better, so I dropped a bunch of money on a fine badger hair brush from Art of Shaving. I was pleased with it, but noticed it didn't handle harder soaps that well. So my wife got me an Omega boar hair brush as a gift. It was OK, but the lather it built up was too thin, so I stuck with the badger. After two years of use, my expensive Art of Shaving brush began shedding hairs by the dozens. So I decided to give this "Angel Hair" synthetic brush a try. I'm so glad I did. It has become my daily brush. For being a synthetic, the hairs are still supper soft and supple, yet they mix up a mean lather with no problems. I've had this brush for nine months, and I think it has lost maybe two hairs- and that was my fault, not the brush's. You see, if there is one flaw with synthetic brushes, it is that they cannot stand up to near-boiling water temps. I didn't know that, and soaked it in some extremely hot water one morning, permanently damaging some of the bristles. But if you learn my mistake and don't do that, this brush should serve you well for years.

Very good starter brush

This is an amazingly soft brush for those who don't want to go the superior badger route. As a starter brush for DE or SE shaving, This brush didn't shed, didn't have any sort of odor, and worked great right out of the box for application. It generates a great lather, and doesn't take long to soften up by soaking.

Made In China

After a couple of weeks it is not yet falling apart. It is Made in China so I fully expect that should start soon. Notice how Amazon doesn't list the country of manufacturing. 3 stars now which will either be raised or lowered down the road.

Very Fine brush indeed

Not much else to add to all these other glowing reviews. No it's not badger hair, but it feels great on the face and costs a fraction of the real thing. This is a most excellent brush to add into any mans rotation.

Misleading Pics

Images imply you will get more than the brush, which makes it more appealing to the buyer, but the brush alone is more expensive for less when compared to other products. If I put an image of a bike and only mail the bicycle seat, that would not be cool. Considering returning it.

Surprising performance!

This brush was a pleasant surprise! At first I thought it didn't have much backbone. It didn't seem to be stiff enough to produce a good lather from the harder shaving soaps without a lot of effort. I tried this brush on an Arko puck just this morning. This brush's performance was impressive! In fact, I'm purchasing its "Chubby" big brother. This is a fine brush at a good price. I've no complaints on this high quality product.

Decent, but Overpriced. Buy the same thing from Stirling Soap Co. and save $$.

I am pleased with product performance - I am impressed with the softness of the hair. I am hoping that synthetic will offer durability and be quick-drying. I have never used Badger but I've used Boar and this is an improvement for my needs. Boar hair being coarser did not glide across skin and manipulate the soap as smoothly as this, I think. This brand appears professional/competent.My problem is the cost of this brush. I just visited Stirling Soap Co. website and they had synthetic brushes of what I estimate are of equal quality for half the price of this one, so, I'm a bit miffed about that. Also side note, if you are planning on buying a stand - try to figure out the dimensions of each item (brush handle/holster) before purchasing. The wood stand I ordered from Amazon is a little too small for the brush for it's prongs to be seated properly around the grooves of the handle.

Epic Shaving Brush & Great Value

Here is the dirty little secret about shaving brushes.....Synthetic brushes are softer and more comfortable, last longer, whip up a great lather, better for sensitive skin and the best part....a Great Bargain when compared to more expensive badger brushes. This Fine brush is super quality and one of the best, if not The Best of the synthetics (Kent Infinity is also great). This is my favorite brush. For the price, you cannot go wrong!

In a class of its own!

I have tried different many different types of shaving brushes. However, this brush sits in a class of its own! I love this brush! It creates an immense amount of lather when using it with tube shaving creams and holds lots of water. It does take a bit of getting used and will have a slight learning curve, but it is awesome! It is not like your typical natural hair brush but do look forward to my shave and enjoy using it!

Works well

The brush it quite stiff. My shaving soap doesn’t last as long as it did with my older natural bristle brush. Not a big deal, and using synthetic bristles is far more humane.

Great brush!

This brush is a great value! It comes in several attractive color combinations, and the bristles are very soft. This is my first synthetic bristle brush, and I now understand why the perception of these has improved in recent years--it performs just as well as any badger hair brush I've ever used.

I'm also impressed with the quality at this price--it lost one hair on the very first use, and that was it! Whips up a great lather, and feels incredibly soft on my face.

Soft and worth the price

What I do like about it is the cost. For sure worth it. What I’m not so fond of is that’s too soft for me. I like a more firm brush that gets into the soap and rubs the face with a firmer feel. Just my two cents but for the price, it pretty nice.

I returned mine and got the Stout

In all fairness it never used it. Seemed to have zero backbone and the bristles were of off kilter. The Stout is fine.

Super soft and great lather

Don’t need much water to get great lather with shave soap. Super soft. Handle is a little slippery in shower but works great.
