Fine® Snake Bite Aftershave

They put an ugly scent in Isopropyl, so people know not to ingest it, so why would a company have a repellant scent in their product? Water and Isopropyl is a virtual reproduction of this product, so you are actually buying $3 worth of alcohol for $60.00 per 3 ounces. Ask yourself if this is what you want?The bottle is cool, the product is a scam.

Arrived partially spilled. It arrived with the lid unscrewed, just sitting on top & the tamper seal still fully intact with the lid unbroken. I screwed the lid back on tightly & then the tamper seal actually took hold to the bottles threads & did it's job by breaking free from the lid when I later unscrewed it.

About four months ago, I was lucky enough to be traveling around Italy, where I was properly introduced to traditional wet shaving - that is, starting with a pre-shave cream, lathering up a bowl of shaving soap with a brush, applying it to the face, then shaving with an actual razor. Brother, if you haven’t tried this, you are missing out! I went from being the guy who would shave *maybe* twice a week, to shaving daily.Having said that, a proper shave requires a proper aftershave. I prefer something that has some bite to it - alcohol and menthol are my favorite ingredients, and those happen to be 2/3 of the ingredients found here (water being the third).No joke, this stuff will absolutely burn for a few seconds; but then, an extreme menthol cooling sensation kicks in, and it’s like you put your face in a sauna and the freezer at the same time. This product claims to have 5x the typical amount of menthol, and I believe it. It may also add hair to your chest and deepen your voice by three octaves, but that is unconfirmed at this time…I’ve never found another aftershave like this. And because the only scent is from the menthol, I’ll add my favorite scented aftershave afterwards.Definitely not for those averse to a strong aftershave, but if you’re looking to add a unique kick to your routine, give this a try.On a side note, all of the Fine Accoutrement aftershaves are fantastic, even the other less mentholated versions. Barber Blue, Italian Citrus, Aquamarine, and Clubhouse are a great place to start if you’re looking for something a little less intense, but that same level of quality. They’re “homages” to well-known fragrances and aftershaves, and in some cases, I think they’re better…Anyway, thanks for reading. Enjoy the shave!

Wouldn’t use anything else.

This has a sharp sting to it; the menthol is refreshing. I slap some on the back of my neck as well after shaving. There is no lasting scent, so it will not interfere with cologne.

I was a tiny bit intimidated when reading some of the reviews on this product. It seemed like the overall message was to man-up and take the burn. As if your buying some kind of extreme and inedible hot sauce, And while, I by no means have any type of unusually high tolerance to pain, it is true however, that there is a burn, but it's an addictive burn that I very much look forward to. It is the perfect follow up to a baby bottom close shave. Yes, the burn is more intense compared to other aftershave splashes, but it's also much more soothing as well. Soon after the initial somewhat intense, but SOOTHING burn, the Menthol starts kicking in and it feels like there's icicles hanging of my chin for the next 40 minutes. This product feels so good after a close shave that my face absolutely craves this product. Any other aftershave splash will no longer do. I look forward to shaving just so I can use this splash. Once I run out, which won't be for a while ( a little goes along ways) I will not hesitate before ordering this product again.Very Happy!

This is my second bottle of Snake Bite. It is fragrance free and COLD! Great to use on hot days.

Shipping and delivery were very prompt. Good safe packing for these liquids in glass bottles. These are high quality aftershaves, but a bit pricey. The price factor makes one think twice about making another purchase.

Great stuff, wakes you up! Good to use with cologne that doesn't have menthol.

Been using snake bite for years. I miss the old bottles but the formula is the same. It’s the best stuff on earth. The cool burn this the best way to start the day.

Bought because it had good reviews. I can't leave one. It did cool my face a little but it also made my eyes water for about an hour after using. I can't detect any scent except for alcohol. My wife said to get rid of it so that's what I'll do. Was expecting more for the price

Great for after a good shave and good for the money

The AS does as described, cool off the skin after a shave, there isn’t any smell, I normally add a bit in with my daily lotion.

Come tutti gli aftershave Fine lascia la pelle idratata, liscia e fresca grazie al mentolo. A differenza di altri AS Fine la fragranza è più lieve e meno persistente. La profumazione ricorda quella del Floid Blue con qualche differenza. Lo consiglierei per l'estate o primavera. Un ottimo prodotto come tutti quelli a marchio Fine.

Habe das Rasierwasser so gegen 17 Uhr bekommen und gleich ausprobiert. Der Duft ist einfach nur toll und sehr lange präsent. Mein Kopfkissen duftet herrlich nach Fine.Habe schon viele Rasierwasser ausprobiert die auch gut riechen aber leider nur kurz. Fine ist ja relativ teuer, aber es lohnt sich.Ich vergebe 5 Sterne 👍

Hace lo que cualquier loción alcohólica, sin tanto glamour y más barata, es un golpe de alcohol, con un levísimo olor a cítrico, los que dicen que recuerda a Aqua di Parma, debieron de beberlo en lugar de usarlo como aftershave, el hidrolato de hamamelis, es mucho mejor, la única ventaja es que los mezclo y así el hidrolato puro no me huele a infusión de plantas, además el alcohol, aunque se note su trabajo, ya no es tan agresivo con la piel.

Together with the "american blend" by the same producer, this AS is among the best of my collection. Refreshing!

I was very much anticipating the arrival of this aftershave as I have been doing research on many different brands. This brand however, was a bit disappointing, with its premium price tag in the lineup of other splash on aftershaves. I feel like it fell a bit short. The scent was nice, but not impressive, and did not linger anywhere near as long as I thought it would. When you wear an aftershave, you expect to be smelling good long after you shaved but this one seemed to dissipate in almost an hour after application. If you’re looking for a classic Barbershop smell and longevity to match its namesake, I would say stick to classics like clubman aftershave for they keep you smelling Barbershop fresh long after you shave!

First time purchase. Got the American blend. Very nice fragrance, wish it was a tad stronger.Only thing I'd say is that the price point is kind of high. This is worth more like $15-18 for a product like this.I think the company could do better on that without sacrificing quality and being American made.But I will absolutely try another scent one day.

It smells very good, very refreshing! It’s different from any aftershave or cologne I’ve used before. It’s very light not overpowering at all. The only negative is that it doesn’t stay with you very long, especially in hot weather and high humidity.

This really is FINE aftershave. Great post-shave performance, for example, cooling, toning, and leaving skin feeling refreshed. I got the Platinum scent as it is modeled after Creed's Aventus, which I have a sample of, love, and used for scent comparison. In terms of scent, this is definitely not a "cheap knock-off." To my nose, the smoky, fruit top-notes in Aventus are a bit more pronounced by comparison, but they're definitely there in the Fine Platinum. As the dry down occurs, the two scent profiles (Aventus and Fine Platinum) really start to merge, to the point I don't think I'd be able to distinguish unless I knew which one I had used. Silage and staying power are not as strong, BUT this is an aftershave. I still get a solid 3-4 hours, and this is a very friendly scent appropriate for any kind of setting, including work. I do have other aftershaves that have a stronger silage and lasting power, so I would give this the full five stars if Fine ever boosts the strength just a touch. It's pretty much perfect as is. Get it and I think you'll quickly find yourself using it in the morning, and touching up in the afternoon and evening as I do because it just feels good and smells awesome!

I was looking for an "old school" after shave. I just happened to stumble on this as I was scrolling a wet-shave products web site. I don't like the name "Fine", but I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice scent, nice sting. I will buy it again.

Smells pretty good but not amazing, it smells exactly like Dapper Dan original hair pomade

After reading a few other reviews, I ordered the Italian Citrus. As soon as you open the bottle the room is flooded with the scent of citrus and romance. I really don't know how to describe the scent other than to say it is absolutely amazing and very high-class--it makes you feel like you are sailing the Mediterranean on your yacht on a beautiful sunny day.The first time I wore it, my wife stopped dead in her tracks on the way out the door, turned, and said, "Wow, you smell so good." She lingered by me a few more moments before begrudgingly leaving for work. You will be sure to turn heads if you pick this scent, especially in the summertime.Beyond the female-attracting properties, the aftershave does an awesome job at cooling and toning your skin. The menthol stays cool on your face for nearly 30-45 minutes, and the scent lasts the whole day through.If you are unsure of what fragrance to try, you can go to Mr. Fine's website and get a sampler pack.*EDIT* Having done the sampler, here is a rundown on the other scents:American Blend--This scent is awesome. It is kind of a cross between Old Spice and Gillette Foamy Shaving Cream. A little spicy but very clean smelling. Several women have complimented this one.Fresh Vetiver--Wow, this is a great scent. Smokey, clean, and refreshing. Again, this one gets the seal of approval from the ladies.Clean Vetiver--I don't like this one nearly as much as the Fresh Vetiver. There is an added soapy scent that makes this one smell a little muddled.L'Orange Noir--Smells great in the bottle, but crappy on your skin. The scent is VERY heavy. If you like really heavy-handed scents, this one is for you. My wife took one whiff of this one on my and just said, "No."Savon Lavande--A clean lavender scent, but I don't like it. This is probably the least manly smelling of the lot

"Once bitten, twice shy"....as the old saying goes....but not after splashing on Snake Bite, with that invigorating feeling of smooth armor that imbues confidence and style to its happy consumer. Love this product and plan to buy it again.
